Laundry Drop is one of the ways Christ United Methodist Church shares practical compassion in our community.
On the second Saturday of each month, volunteers gather at the church at 8:45 AM to prepare supplies before heading out at 9:15 AM to meet neighbors throughout St. Petersburg. Together, we distribute laundry detergent, dryer sheets, small gifts, and other helpful items — along with conversation, encouragement, and prayer.
Laundry Drop is more than a distribution effort. It is relational ministry. We take time to listen, learn names, share stories, and offer prayer when welcomed. The goal is not simply to meet a need, but to build connection and extend dignity.
This ministry often includes a prayer chain that lifts up requests gathered during outreach, allowing the wider church family to participate even if they are not physically present.
No special experience is required to serve — just a willingness to show up with kindness and care.
If you would like to volunteer or join the prayer chain, please contact the church office: Call or text (727) 822-3343 or email info@christchurchstpete.org
