How We Help
Student
Discipleship is relational and Christ Church seeks to make disciples by nurturing authentic relationships with our students and their families. We encourage families to worship together, while we also offer two Sunday School classes specifically for Children and Youth at 10:15am in between our services. Parents may register children in the Courtyard between 10 and 10:15am. Children 3 rd – 5 th grade then gather into our elementary class, while middle and high school students generally meet in our Youth Room. Both meet until 11:10am, so students are free to rejoin their families. We also challenge students to grow relationally through monthly service and fellowship opportunities.
How We Help
Adult
1-Missed Sunday? Zooming in on the Bible is the class that you can zoom into or come in person, if you want to delve into Bible Study with a former Naval Captain that runs a tight ship of a class! Join Al Paton’s class in the conference room from 2:30-3:30pm each Monday! Al puts in hours reading, researching, and putting together the presentations that bring thought filled discussions and applications of Christianity to everyone’s lives. All welcome, whether you read for the week or not!
2-Heavenly Friends Class is a group of 55+ adults who meet in the Asbury Room from 10-11am. This class offers a bible study with in-depth weekly teachings, while leaving time for questions and discussion.
3- “A Bit Beyond” is the casual drop in and out group of adults of all ages that encompassed courtyard conversations of 20–30-minutes. Come to Christ’s Courtyard following the 9:30am Gathering Chapel Service. The conversation is intended to be an extension of the sermon for that Sunday and a time for people to gain clarity, reflect on what they heard, and ask related questions. See how the message may apply to our world today or your direct life individually, while delving into the Word in a deeper and more satisfying way. Issues of the day are front and center. Coffee and snacks always involved!

A Sacred Music Intern Program – a part-time paid position as an assistant to the director of music.
How We Help
Christian Counseling
We are pleased to have at any given time an outreach ministry for you of 1-3 Christian Counselors. Counseling is confidential and can aid families, marriages, couples, and individuals of all ages. All are properly licensed by the state of Florida. Our mental health services can be face-to-face or online.
Our counselors help with issues such as addictions, depression, anxiety, grief, marital problems, career changes, parenting strategies, self-esteem, Christian faith development, parent-child relationships, and more. The administrative staff members are skilled in helping new clients match their concerns with the right people too. If we do not have the person for your needs, we will help you locate someone who can aid you. There are many local resources.
Insurance, private pay, and a limited amount of scholarship funds are provided to remove financial barriers to receiving the mental health care needed. Our faith guides our service to the community and is the base of our care but is not used for a theological platform in any way.

How We Help
Mission Possible
As a church, we recognize how many deserving causes exist. At Christ Church, we choose a monthly mission to focus on; bringing the hearts, hands, and minds of the congregation together to tackle a seemingly unattainable assignment. It may not seem feasible. . .“But with God All Things are Possible.” Matthew 19:26
How We Help
5th Sunday Outreach
When a month has five Sundays, we use the “Extra” Sunday to go outside the walls of the church and serve the neighbors in our community. Previous Service Sundays have been used to feed the homeless, gather supplies for local outreach organizations, and visit local coin laundromats to offer supplies and prayer to neighbors.
We also have served food at Ronald McDonald House and Salvation Army, created care packages for All Children’s Hospital, helped make baby blankets for at-risk babies and their mothers, made packages and cards for prison inmates, made Christmas decorations for an assisted living home, and made meals and delivered them to any homeless we found in the city… All we do is to serve the community we are in.
How We Help
Laundry Drop
2nd Saturdays 8:30-10:30am
The 2nd Saturday of each month, volunteers start at 8:30 am to assemble gift bags for recipients at various laundromats.
Then at 9:30 am, we distribute those bags to our neighbors in local laundromats.
If you’ve ever had to look outside your own house to do laundry, you know how much of a challenge it can be. We get it! Some folks rely on coin machines for their daily and weekly needs while others find themselves in circumstances that force them to rely on this service. Our Church community takes time to offer assistance in the way of detergent, dryer sheets, special gifts, and monetary assistance.
How We Help
Cuba
Pueblo Nuevo Church in Matanzas Cuba has been our covenanted sister church since March 2000. Members of our congregation have twice visited the faithful there, delivering much needed ministry and medical supplies. Both teams were gratefully received and humbled by the ncredible hospitality extended.
Our fundraising and support efforts are continual. 2 electric bikes have been the most recent contributions, enabling Pastor Eduardo to minister to the house churches and members living in the countryside. Pueblo Nuevo also hosts a ministerial college and has a thriving youth ministry.
The people have huge joy in Jesus. We keep them in our prayers and we are held in theirs.
How We Help
Argentina
With the new leadership of Pastor Dawn Worden, comes a new connection to the Evangelical Methodist Church of Argentina. We use a new model of international missions that focuses on partnerships and building friendships between churches, pastors, and people of two nations. If you have an interest in connecting with people abroad and learn about how God works in a new world, give us a ring.
