Your next mission has arrived!
Throughout September and October, Mission Possible is focusing on two simple ways to help our neighbors—one through our community partner Clothes To Kids, and one right here at Christ Church.
Step Up for Shoetober
We’re partnering with Clothes To Kids for their annual Shoetober campaign, collecting shoes for local children and teens.
Clothes To Kids provides new and quality-used clothing to low-income and in-crisis school-age children free of charge. As part of Shoetober, they’re working to provide more than 18,000 pairs of shoes to children throughout our communities.
For our Mission Possible collection, we’re looking for:
- New or quality-used shoes
- Children’s Size 10 through Adult Size 10
- Sneakers and other school-appropriate styles are especially helpful.
Bring your shoe donations to Christ Church throughout September and October.
Blankets for Our Neighbors
We’re also collecting blankets to keep here at Christ Church and share with our unhoused neighbors as cooler weather arrives later in the year.
Having blankets available will help us respond directly when colder days and nights reach our community.
Bring your blanket donations to Christ Church throughout September and October.
Want to Help Even More?
While shoes are the focus of our Clothes To Kids collection, the organization serves children from age 4 through their senior year of high school and can put a wide variety of clothing to good use.
Clothes To Kids has let us know that some of their other particularly high needs this fall include:
- Boys’ pants — Youth Sizes 4–18
- Girls’ tops — Youth Sizes XS–XL
Other appropriate children’s and teen clothing can also be put to good use, and full information can be found at https://clothestokids.org/
Thank you for helping make Mission Possible possible!
